Danny Rose.

Barnsley finished their pre-season without a win as they drew 1-1 at home to local rivals Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Danny Rose gave the Reds the lead on 30 minutes then Kieran Lee levelled just after the break after Adam Davies spilled a routine Gary Madine shot.

Davies also made a fine save from Chris Maguire while Rose missed several other chances and summer signing Sam Winnall also went close several times.

James Bailey picked up an injury in the warm-up and was replaced in the starting line-up by Brad Abbott.

The Championship visitors brought almost 2,000 fans with them and the crowd numbered more than 5,000. Barnsley will begin their League One campaign at home to Crawley Town on August 9.
