Barnsley lost 1-0 to Bolton on Boxing Day in Danny Wilson's first home game back as manager.

The Reds played well in the first half, going close through a Bobby Hassell header and a Jim O'Brien long-range effort.

After the break, Bolton dominated, however. The recalled Luke Steele made a fantastic save to deny Zat Knight but Neil Danns gave the visitors the lead on 65 minutes, curling into the top right hand corner from the edge of the box.

Despite going behind, Barnsley failed to create any further chances and Bolton left deserved winners.
