Stephen Dawson says he has no problem with Neil Warnock after the Leeds manager brought a laptop into the post-match press conference at Oakwell on Saturday to show journalists a tackle that the Barnsley midfielder made.
Warnock claimed that Dawson’s challenge on Ross McCormack in the build-up to the Reds’ first goal during the 2-0 win was a ‘leg breaker’ and that the player should have been sent off.
In response, Dawson told the Chronicle: “I don’t really remember that tackle because I made so many of them during the game. But I saw that McCormack was hurt and I checked he was alright at the time and after the game.
“I would never go into a tackle with the intention of hurting someone but people know the way I play and that I would never back out of a challenge. I have a lot of respect for Neil Warnock and I can only apologise if he was annoyed by that tackle. But I am sure he has got other things to worry about.”
