Barnsley progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup as youngster Danny Rose scored his first goal for the club in a 1-0 win against Burnley.
Rose capitalised on a Brian Jensen error and tapped the ball in with five minutes to spare in what had been a dull game.
Stephen Dawson and David Perkins had good long-range efforts for the Reds but neither 'keeper made a save.
Burnley's Brian Stock was sent off in the first for a second bookable offence and Burnley seemed content for a draw before Rose struck late on.
The attendance was just over 5,000 at Oakwell, with almost 1,300 of those being Burnley supporters.
