Done's undone deal out of his mind ahead of Palace clash

Monday 22nd October 2012
Matt Done.

Matty Done insists he won’t be thinking about ‘the move that never was’ as he lines up against Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

Palace chief Dougie Freedman had a £500,000 bid for Done rejected in August.Done, who has been injured for most of the season, says he was flattered by the interest but he no longer thinks about the transfer.

He told the Chronicle: “For me, it’s the move that never was so there’s no point thinking about it really. When people are willing to pay good money for you it means you’re doing something right but the move didn’t materialise and it doesn’t bother me at all. I’m happy at Barnsley and want to stay here.“

On Tuesday, I won’t be thinking about what could have been. It won’t even cross my mind to be honest because I’ve got a job to do at Barnsley now and I’ll be doing all I can to help us get three points.”
