Keith Hill says loaned out defenders Rob Edwards and Lee Collins could both still play a part in Barnsley’s season.

Collins joined League One Shrewsbury Town at the end of September and has played five games.

Edwards was lent to League Two side Fleetwood Town last week and made his debut in the 1-0 loss at home to Wycombe on Saturday. Both deals were for a month and Hill says he will reassess when they expire.

The manager told the Chronicle: “I have told them that when it gets to the end of their loan periods we will see where we are and see where they are and decide whether to extend the loan or bring them back. I’m pleased they have played.”
