Hill rejects latest Palace bid for Done

Thursday 23rd August 2012
Matt Done.

Reds boss Keith Hill has rejected another offer for winger Matty Done from Crystal Palace.

Hill says he wants at least £750,000 for the winger.

He said: “Whatever anyone says we have received phone calls and bids for players and it’ll happen again. But I need protection, and if you sell players and assets then you will be changing your manager on a regular basis.

“Crystal Palace keep coming back for Matty Done but they haven’t matched the price we want so they either need to start talking real business or go and find someone else.

“Why should we weaken ourselves and strengthen the arm of our rivals, Crystal Palace? It would be nonsensical.”
