Tomasz thrilled to get another Championship chance

Thursday 9th August 2012
Tomasz Cywka.

New signing Tomasz Cywka has spoken of his delight after playing his first 90 minutes for Barnsley at Crewe on Tuesday night.

Cywka, 24, played on the left side of midfield and showed Reds fans what he is capable of with some silky dribbling skills and impressive touches. He was Barnsley’s stand-out player during the 1-0 defeat and the former Wigan, Derby and Reading ace is looking forward to getting his career back on track at Oakwell.

The Polish star told the Chronicle: “My last game was at the end of last season for Reading so it’s been quite a while since I played. It’s never nice to lose a game but it was good to play. I can’t wait to start with the league season now.“I was very pleased when I got the call to come to Barnsley. This is an established club in the league and I cannot wait to get going. The Championship is a really good league but if we concentrate on every game and play to win then I know we will do well.”
