Barnsley manager Keith Hill says that the injury to star signing Mido could be a good thing.
The 29-year-old Egyptian striker injured his hamstring in the warm-up before the 2-2 friendly draw at Doncaster on Saturday. He is expected to be out for between six to eight weeks but it could be even longer.
Hill said: “It could be a blessing in disguise. Mido will do a lot of strength and conditioning work now which will not involve his hamstring. He could become a player we use later in the season.
"Hamstring are very difficult things to deal with and we will have to be very careful with how we handle Mido's injury. We will not rush him back."
