Barnsley CC were frustrated by rain for the third Saturday in a row as they failed to dismiss visitors Sheffield Collegiate in time.
Four rain breaks delayed the Shaw Laners' innings by around three hours. They eventually declared in the 45th over on 136 for seven after Jason Booth had top-scored with 54.
Barnsley then had until 8pm to bowl Collegiate out. Oliver Hannon-Dalby and Ryan Hercules failed to make a breakthrough in the first 12 overs as the visitors reached 24 for no wicket.
But the hosts suddenly took six wickets for the loss of 13 runs as Graeme Whiles took four for ten off his seven overs and captain Richard Wilkinson struck twice.
Hercules came back into the attack and took three quick wickets to reduce Sheffield to 66 for nine. But the final pair saw out the time until 8pm and both teams came away with three points.
Barnsley are now 13 points behind Yorkshire League leaders Harrogate who gained an eight-point win.
