Barnsley boss Keith Hill was furious with his side's display in their 2-0 defeat at Burnley on Tuesday night.
Former Reds loanee Jay Rodriguez gave the hosts the lead in the third minute then saw his shot come off the post for Charlie Austin to tap home the second on 62 minutes.
Barnsley had very few shots on goal with striker Craig Davies coming closest with a powerful effort that struck the post.
The loss means that Barnsley have not kept a clean sheet in 13 matches and have not drawn for 22 games.
"I am as disappointed as the fans who came to watch that tonight," said Hill.
"As a manager, depending on what the pressure is like, that could be a sackable performance.
"If we had been in the bottom three then I may have been getting a phone call tonight. The previous ten managers of Barnsley have had that call."
