Leading marksman Ricardo Vaz Te is in London this afternoon and is hoping to complete a switch to West Ham.
Vaz Te, who has netted 12 times for the Reds, is out of contract in the summer and Barnsley have decided to cash in on the striker now rather than allow him to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The Portuguese forward played under West Ham chief Sam Allardyce at Bolton and will undoubtedly aid their promotion push this season.
Barnsley have accepted a bid for Vaz Te and the player was expected in London this afternoon to agree terms with the Hammers.
