Hill hopes for second signing

Reds' boss Keith Hill is hoping to confirm his second signing of the week later today with the arrival of Leyton Orient midfielder Stephen Dawson.

Dawson, 26, is a box to box, high-energy player who has captained Orient in League 1 this season. A six-figure fee has been agreed between the two clubs and the Irishman is expected to agree terms this afternoon.

The signing will be Hill's second of the week having already brought in Exeter left-back Scott Golbourne. Golbourne, who turns 24 next month, has represented England at Under 19 level and comes highly recommended for his pace.

He started his career with Bristol City and has also had spells at Reading, Wycombe, Bournemouth and Oldham.
