Hill: Holloway rang me about Butterfield

Keith Hill has said that Blackpool boss Ian Holloway enquired about Jacob Butterfield earlier in the season.

The Barnsley midfielder has now been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign but had been attracting a lot of interest from other clubs.

“Ian rang me about Jacob and I told him he couldn’t afford him,” said the Barnsley manager.

“No official bid was ever made.”

Blackpool have now been linked with Reds’ top-scorer Ricardo Vaz Te but Hill says the player will not leave.

"Ricardo will be staying with us until the end of the season. No bids have been made for him.”
