Academy win, reserves lose
By ANDREW LODGE
BARNSLEY Academy under 18s gained their first win of the season this week while the reserves lost for the first time since their reintroduction.
The Academy went 1-0 down but goals from Jordan McLeod, Justin Yun, and Danny Rose gave them the win despite a late home consolation.
The resevres lot at Nottingham Forest. Nathan Tyson struck twice either side of a Danny Fearnehough equaliser before setting up Nialle Rodney for 3-1.
Jacob Butterfield pulled one back from close range just after half-time but the hosts hung on for a win.
