Girls on cue for work

THESE two school girls swapped study for the studio this week as they went on work experience.

Edward Sheerien pupil Kirsty Bell and Beth Pears from Wombwell High, both 15, got a taste of university life working with the musical equipment at the University Centre Barnsley.

Year ten pupils from both schools have been spending time in the music and media departments working on projects set by the centre's staff.

They have worked in the recording studios and other parts of the department and were told how a degree could help them forge a career in the music or media industry.
