A BARNSLEY dancer has landed her first full-time professional dancing role.

Hayley Dixon, 22, won a year long contract with touring contemporary dance company Smallpetitklein. She will tour Scotland with the company from December until Christmas, and probably travel farther afield in the new year.

She said: "I've been applying for a lot of things and it's so competitive. It's a contract for one year and hopefully I will get more work after that."
