SCRAPMEN in Carlton are so fed up with tyres being dumped illegally on their land they are footing the bill to have them shifted.

Mel's Motor's, Carlton Car Breakers and Milton Gough's, all based at Boulder Bridge, will club together and pay the Environment Agency to take away hundreds of them.

They believe that the tyres have been hurled out of passing cars and rolled down the banking into their yards.
