
A GREAT-GRANDAD is understood to have confronted youths outside his Monk Bretton home minutes before he collapsed and died of a heart attack.
Former miner and glassworker, Robert Shaw, 72, who had a heart condition, went to a group of kids outside his house on King edward Street at 6pm on Monday.
He went back inside the house he had withiwfe Pearl for 36 years but collapsed and was rushed to Barnsley Hospital.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
