Pd56321-2 Glen Taylor
AN athlete who went ahead and competed in the British Transplant Games - despite the sudden death of his brother - has brought home two gold medals and a bronze.

Glen Taylor, 48, intends to place the medals in his brother Carl's coffin as a tribute.

Carl, 49, a jockey who lived in Newmarket, Suffolk, died unexpectedly last week but Glen vowed to press on and take part in the games as his brother would have wanted it.

Carl had seemed healthy and the family did not know what happened as he died so suddenly. A post mortem was due to take place last week and the funeral is on Thursday.

Glen competed in squash, volleyball and swimming at the games in Bolton at the weekend. He got a gold in squash, and in team volleyball and a bronze in the 400-metre run.
