Free dog micro chipping on offer

By Alison Burkinshaw, Royston Reporter Friday 11th July 2014

THERE is a free dog micro chipping event in Royston this month, organised by Barnsley Council and the Dogs Trust.

The free event is being held in the pavilion at Royston park, Midland Road, between 11am and 3pm on July 29, and will provide owners with a permanent method of identifying their dog.

It will become compulsory in 2016 to have your dog microchipped.

For more information about the event contact Barnsley Council's dog warden on 773743.

Well done Barnsley Council, maybe your next step should be to send all those poor RTA pets for cremation instead of the rubbish tip! Just a thought.
