Police appeal after stabbing

POLICE are investigating after a man was stabbed on Tuesday lunchtime.

 

Police were called at about 12.55 following reports a man had been injured in Wellington Crescent, Worsbrough, Barnsley.

 

The 27-year-old man was been taken to hospital and treated for a serious stab wound. It is not believed to be life-threatening.

 

It is reported he was in an altercation with another man. The second man is thought to have left the scene and officers are in the area making enquiries.

 

Anyone that may have witnessed the altercation is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 464 of June 3, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
