Murder inquiry launched over pensioner death

A BARNSLEY pensioner was found dead yesterday prompting a murder investigation to be launched in Cudworth.

 

Police were called to Birkwood Avenue at about 5.35pm on Wednesday (April 2) where they discovered the woman, thought to be in her 70s.

 

Forensic specialists are now on the scene gathering evidence and the property has been cordoned off.
