Pd48069 The cash was presented at a specially arranged assembly.

A GROUP of people from Hemingfield raised more than £2,000 by completing a military-style assault course.

The gang of 12, were galvanised into action to raise money for Sheffield Children's Hospital after local lad, Jack Palmer, eight, received treatment there for leukaemia.

Jack's dad, Shane, of Tingle Bridge Lane, was one of those who took part in the course, which raised a total of £2,308.

Jack himself handed over the cheque to the charity ward at a specially arranged assembly at The Ellis Church of England Primary School in Hemingfield, where he is a pupil.
