Louis Tomlinson

One Direction heartthrob Louis Tomlinson visited his mother in Barnsley Hospital where she gave birth to twins.

Johanna Poulston, 40, was joined by her popstar son on Monday after welcoming babies Ernest and Doris prematurely.

The star was on a three-month break from touring so was able to visit his mother ahead of his Brit Award appearance next week.

A spokesman for Barnsley Hospital said: "It's fantastic the family chose to have the babies at Barnsley and we are pleased that mother and babies are doing well. We wish all the family the very best."

Excited fans took to social media to say the star had been spotted in the maternity ward, the Jet garage in Dodworth and also in Royston.
