Barnsley beauties battle for Miss South Yorkshire title

Two beautiful Barnsley ladies are through to the final stages of the Miss South Yorkshire competition.

 

Hollie-Jane Woodhouse and Laura Clare, both 17, will go though to the semi-finals of Miss England if they win.

 

Hollie, of New Street, Ardsley, was a former pupil of Darfield Foulstone school and later Netherwood ALC.

 

She is now studying her A-levels at Wath Comprehensive.

 

Laura, of The Balk, Staincross, attended Darton College, formerly Darton High School, and is now studying business at Barnsley College.

 

Hollie is signed to a modelling agency, and Laura has also done modelling work.

 

As part of the competition they must raise funds for the charity Beauty with a Purpose which raises funds and support for good causes and disadvantaged groups all around the world.

 

The final will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Sheffield on February 14.
