New centre fires kids' imaginations

By ashley ball, Wombwell/Dearne Reporter Tuesday 3rd December 2013
'Policewomn' for the day at Hi Jinx is three-year-old Georgia Mann.

A new centre where pre-school children can use their imaginations and keep fit has opened in Thurnscoe.

Hi Jinx, based at Fields End Business Park, is earning rave reviews from parents for the gymnastic classes, trampolining lessons and role play areas including a station, bakery, fire station and launderette.

"Everything we do is geared towards promoting a child's imagination and fitness," said director Sarah Sullivan.

"The role play area is a very calming environment and that brings with it a knock-on effect."

Sarah says the idea for the centre arose from her own experiences.

"Myself and the other director are both pre-school gymnastic coaches and we've felt for a while that the pre-school market was overlooked," she said.

"It's different from other play areas because mums and dad's can relax here and not have to worry about where their child is.

"It's a safe environment for them to use their imaginations."
