Man wanted for vandalising pensioners' car

A man has been caught on CCTV repeatedly vandalising a pensioner's car and police need help to identify him.

 

The force has received security footage showing a number of incidents of damage to a car belonging to a 67-year-old woman on Princess Street, Barnsley.

The first incident happened at around 2am on January 12 when a neighbour of the woman is reported to have seen a man damaging the door mirrors on the car. After damaging both door mirrors, he walks off towards Spring Street.

 

A second incident occurred at 2.20am on February 3 and what is believed to be the same man is captured on CCTV approaching the car, kicking the passenger side door mirror off and walking around to the driver's side of the car, kicking off the driver's side door mirror. He again walks off in the direction of Spring Street.

 

The third incident happened at 2.05am on February 17 when it is believed the same the man walks down Princess Street, from the direction of New Street.

 

He is seen walking to a neighbours' address and looking in the window before forcing the wing mirrors off by pulling and pushing at them. He then walks off in the direction of Spring Street.

 

The man is described as slim, white, 5ft 8ins and was seen wearing a variety of shirts and jeans.
