A woman shaved her head to help raise money for a sick two-year-old because she cannot have children of her own.

Gabriela Ingram, 46, went under the clippers at Monroe's Hair Studio in Barnsley town centre.

Money from the stunt will help toddler Oliver Field, who suffers from neuroblastoma - a rare and aggressive form of cancer. His family needs £250,000 so he can undergo treatment abroad.

Gabriela, who works with Oliver's grandmother Catherine Bottom in Morrisons on West Way, will raise more than £320 from the haircut.

• A table top sale to raise funds for Oliver will take place at the Federation Resource Centre, Prospect Street, from 10am to 4pm tomorrow.
