Hunt is on for Barnsley's oldest appliance

Have you got the appliance that defies science? A cooker, fridge, kettle or washer that simply refuses to die?

After Royston's Maggie Grayson told us she had been using her freezer for 38 years straight, we decided to find Barnsley's oldest household appliance.

It could be anything - so far we've had a 55-year-old vacuum cleaner, a 62-year-old clock that's never needed repairing and a 45-year-old freezer from Zimbabwe - but we think you can do better.
