By Dan Greaves, Royston Reporter Saturday 9th March 2013
Callum McKenzie-Kay and Aaron Betley, both 16, are set to take part in a skydive for forces charity Help For Heroes later this year.

Two teenagers will jump out of a plane to raise money for injured soldiers.

Callum McKenzie-Kay and Aaron Betley, both 16, are set to take part in a skydive for forces charity Help For Heroes later this year.

The pair, who both attend Carlton Community College, will take the plunge on May 19 and are appealing for sponsors.

Callum, of Grove Road, Mapplewell, said: "I just thought it would be a great way to raise money for a good cause. My brother is in the forces and Aaron's granddad was in the Desert Rats so it's something we believe in."

The pair have already raised more than £1,000 which they hope they can top up to about £10,000 with their jump.

Callum added: "The school has been great and really supportive. One of our teachers, Mr Bentley, raised money which has paid for the jump so that everything we earn will go to charity.

"We've also got Barclays as a corporate sponsor so they're going to match pound for pound anything we make up to £3,000."
