Elsecar Heritage Railway will be re-starting passenger services from the end of this month.
Improvements are being introduced in readiness for the station being used and include returning the passenger footbridge to use.
The railway's stock of passenger coaches are also in the process of being repainted. First dates for services in the 2013 season are the weekend of March 30 and Easter Monday.
