There's a real treat in store for one young footie fan in our competition - to be a team mascot at the upcoming clash between Barnsley FC and Premier League champions Manchester City.
The Reds are warming up to visit City for the quarter-final of the FA Cup on Saturday March 9.
And one of our lucky young readers will be there at 5.30pm kick-off leading the team out to the pitch at half-time as one of 11 team mascots. The winning child will also feature with the other mascots in the half-time entertainment.
It's a golden opportunity not to be missed, especially at a time when Barnsley boss David Flitcroft continues to have the Midas touch.
His team have won eight of their last nine games and enjoyed a sterling performance on Tuesday when their 2-1 victory over Wolves at Oakwell lifted the team out the Championship relegation zone.
Our mascot competition is open to youngsters aged between five and 12 and comes thanks to a joint promotion between the Barnsley Chronicle and Barnsley FC.
All you have to do to take part is answer the easy question below. Correct entrants go forward into a prize draw and will then be selected at random and notified by the commercial team at Barnsley FC with further details.
Competition question: What is the name of the current Manchester City manager?
Send us your answer to the question, together with the name and age of your child, your name and full address and a daytime telephone number.
Postal entries should be sent to: FA Cup Mascot Competition, The Editor, Barnsley Chronicle, 47 Church Street, Barnsley, S70 2AS or simply drop your entry in at our office.
Terms and conditions:
Entries must be received by no later than 4pm on Thursday, February 28, 2013.
The winning child, chosen at random, must sit in a designated area of the stadium so they can be collected easily to take part in the half-time entertainment on the pitch with the other mascots.
The child must have the most current kit, the same as the players will be wearing on the day (colour TBC).
Parents can NOT accompany their child behind the scenes at the match. The winning child must be accompanied by one parent or guardian and tickets must be purchased via Barnsley FC.
The commercial team at the club will explain the purchase procedure to the winner. If the winner cannot meet the criteria set out by Barnsley FC, the prize is forfeited and another winner will be chosen.
The player the winning child accompanies onto the pitch is decided with a random draw on the day. The Editor's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
