£15k for Chegger's prize draw winner

TV presenter Keith Chegwin surprised a Deepcar resident by turning up at her house in a taxi with a cheque for £15,000.

The former 'It's a Knockout' star, known to many as Cheggers, shocked Lorraine Turton as part of cash trail around South Yorkshire.

Lorraine pocketed the cash after entering a prize draw, run by PCH Prizes.

She said: "It was such a shock but it's amazing and it couldn't have come at a better time with this freezing weather as I can now buy double glazing for my house.”

Cheggers headed to Lorraine’s house after handing out a £1,500 to 15 South Yorkshire winners picked at random.

He said: "She had absolutely no idea she had won and I was delighted to hand her the cheque, it’s such a lot of money."
