An investigation is to be carried out after a a derelict building in Worsbrough caught fire.
Fire-fighters spent six hours at the Old Vicarage on Vernon Road on Thursday after fire broke out at 4.45pm.
Crews from Barnsley, Cudworth, Tankersley, Rotherham and Doncaster arrived to find the second floor and roof space of the two storey building well alight and two jets and an aerial ladder platform were used to douse the flames.
Fire-fighters carried out a search of the building to check for casualties.
Nobody was injured.
The blaze didn't spread to any other buildings and the crews left at about 10.30pm.
