Organ donation took on a whole new meaning when Barnsley Hospital had a new keyboard donated to its chapel.
The old chapel organ gave up the ghost after 25 years and hospital chaplain Father Peter Needham was left without musical accompaniment.
Father Peter rang a pal for help - Trevor Wassell, of Grimethorpe, who plays the tuba in the Barnsley Chronicle brass band - and Trevor put his ear to the ground.
He spotted a quality organ priced £150 in Barnsley's British Heart Foundation shop and after a chat, the charity kindly agreed to donate it.
Trevor said: "It's a really decent organ with pedals like a church organ and its got all the voice effects and rhythms. It put a big smile on Father Peter's face."

Shouldn't it be "Helen Williams, Tarn reporter."?
