Town Hall flag at half mast in tribute to fallen soldier

The Town Hall flag is being flown at half mast today as the town pays its respect to Sgt Gareth Thursby.

Sgt Thursby was killed in Afghanistan last month and his funeral is being held today in Skipton, North Yorkshire.

He was serving with the 3rd Battalion (The Duke of Wellington's) The Yorkshire Regiment.
