Mounted police section under threat from cuts

The 14 horses, based at Ring Farm, on Carrs Lane, may be moved to West Yorkshire Police's mounted section in Wakefield.

 

Other options include reducing the number of horses but not closing Ring Farm.

 

The mounted unit costs about £1m a year and the force has to save £43m from its budget.
