A Darton woman has won the woodland photographic competition from this year’s cancelled Great Yorkshire Show.
Faye Clayton, 28, of Station Road, beat more than 100 other entries to take the crown for the competition run by Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
She won the senior and overall caregories to claim a prize of £150 of Jessop’s photographic vouchers and plans to put them to good use on a new DSLR camera.
She said she cannot wait to get out into the Barnsley countryside with her new equipment and start snapping.
The theme for the competition was ‘seasons in the wood’ and Faye tried to capture an image encompassing all four seasons in the woodland.
