Roads closed after body find

Several roads in Hoyland Common have been closed following the discovery of a man's body.

Police were alerted to the 31-year-old's death at about 11am on Tuesday and officers were sent to a property on Sheffield Road.

A police source said there were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances but chemicals had been found in the house. Fire crews were called to establish what the chemicals were and make sure the scene was safe before paramedics were allowed in.

The force is expected to release a statement this afternoon.
