Image released by police investigating handbag theft

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they want to speak to about a stolen shopping bag in Barnsley.


The theft occurred at around 7.30pm, on Wednesday 25 July 2012, on a number 219 bus travelling from Barnsley to Darfield, as was reported in Friday's Barnsley Chronicle.


The pictured woman is described as, white, slim, between 5ft and 5ft 5ins, late teens to early 20s, brown shoulder length hair in a ponytail, wearing a green top and cream trousers and a pair of white framed sunglasses on her head.


Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 822 of the July 25, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
