When Chronicle reader Robert Teal set off for the Olympics he knew what to take as a bit of light reading - his Friday favourite newspaper, of course.
Robert, who runs Vitesse on Church Street, Barnsley, is pictured with last week's Chronicle in front of the Olympic stadium.
He is there with his sons who had tickets for the beach volleyball. He's been to see basketball in the Olympic Park and also has tickets to watch football at Wembley Stadium as well as wrestling.
The atmosphere was fantastic, he said. "Just to be part of it is really good. I am well impressed. It's a great atmosphere and although there are lots of people everybody is happy."
And in the unlikely event the sporting action gets dull at least Robert's got something good to read.
• This week's paper features a round-up of Olympic stories, including how Barnsley was put on a world stage at the opening ceremony and how a Barnsley man saved Mr Bean.
