Carlton death crash victim named

A 22-year-old man killed in a car crash on Friday has been named by police.

 

Ben Moore, of Harold Avenue, Lundwood, died in the collision that happened at about 10.25pm on Industry road, Carlton, 50m before the junction with St Anne's Drive.


Four passengers travelling in the same car as Ben were injured. A 17-year-old girl received life-threatening injuries and a 16-year-old boy received serious injuries, a broken femur and pelvis, both are being treated at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.

 

A man, 19, suffered minor back injuries and is being treated at Barnsley Hospital while a 25-year-old woman received minor whiplash.

 

A 19-year-old man and a 21-year-old man from Barnsley were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed pending further enquiries.

 

Witnesses, or anyone with information, should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1401 of July 27.

Another death due to wreckless driving.its about time the police did something to stop things like this happening like more patrols on roads pulling up bad drivers,but apparently they got more important things do.my thoughts go out to the family.
