Agony of Wombwell 'murder' victim's family

Tuesday 31st July 2012
Shane Beadling

Relatives of a man who was allegedly beaten to death in Wombwell said they have been left 'heartbroken and devastated'.

Shane Beadling, 41, was found at a house on Bartholomew Street, Wombwell, on Friday, July 20 at about 9.30pm.

A statement issued by his family said that, despite personal problems, Shane was a kind and giving person.

They said: "Shane was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone, and he had many friends in the area where he lived. Shane had his problems, and tended to move around a lot, but he always kept in touch with his family, and we will miss him terribly.

"Shane's death has left his family heartbroken and devastated. The family would like their privacy to be respected during this sad time."

A post-mortem revealed Shane, of Rawmarsh, had suffered multiple injuries. Garry Count, 32, of Bartholomew Street, has been charged with murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Kerry Musgrave, 31, was charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. They appeared at Barnsley Magistrates' Court last week and the case was committed to Sheffield Crown Court, where the pair appeared on Monday.

They will reappear at crown court on October 16.
