Scargill wins £13K in damages

Sheffield County Court has this morning awarded him £12,000 damages towards the cost of a new car and £1,000 for the loss of union benefits. Mr Scargill had been seeking £15,220, which he claimed was entitled to every four years in financial assistance towards the cost of a car, from the union's Yorkshire Area Trust.
