Blaze after woman, 90, left pan on hob
Wednesday 15th February 2012
A woman in her 90s was given oxygen at the scene of a house fire in Barnsley.
Fire-fighters from Barnsley and Cudworth were called to Sceptone Grove, Shafton, at 7.30pm on Tuesday.
A pan had been left on the hob causing the kitchen to become smoke-logged. The pensioner was alerted by a fire alarm and left the property before fire crews arrived.
Paramedics gave her a check-up but she did not have to attend hospital.
