A man has been charged with the murder of Philip Smith, who died following a disturbance in Thurnscoe a week ago.

A man has been charged with the murder of Philip Smith, who died following a disturbance in Thurnscoe a week ago.
Gary McKeown, 36, of Church Street, Thurnscoe, was charged on Friday and was due to appear before magistrates on Saturday.
Philip, 36, was found in Church Street, near the junction with Houghton Road, and was taken to Barnsley Hospital where he later died of his injuries. A post-mortem revealed he died of stab wounds.
