Calls to ban 'bassline' event after stabbings

Several bar owners and managers have called for the Lucorum night-spot to drop a controversial club night after two men were stabbed.

A fight broke out between two groups who had been at the Project Pimps.Hoes event at Lucorum.

Many in the licensed trade claim the 'bassline' music being played until 4am attracts a 'bad crowd' from towns and cities across Yorkshire. And a police source confirmed those involved were thought to be from Sheffield.

In an interview in today's Chronicle, Lucorum managing director said the incident was being blown out of proportio. He said: "We have no reason to stop the events."
