Stabbed man's family speak of their huge loss

The grieving family of Philip Alan Smith who was stabbed to death on Saturday say his death has left a 'huge gap'.
In a statement issued by the police his relatives said: "The tragic event of Saturday, where Philip was fatally stabbed, has left a huge gap in the lives of many people. Philip was a much-loved member of a large family and we will never forget him."
Philip, 36, was found injured in Church Street, Thurnscoe, at about 4.30pm after a disturbance near the junction with Houghton Road. He was taken to Barnsley District General Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
His family urged anyone with information to contact the force.
