They are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a vulnerable man from Wombwell.

Shaun Lockwood, 44, of Hoyland Street, was last seen by a neighbour on Saturday morning and by his brother John, who he lives with, at 5.45pm on Friday.

John said he returned home on Saturday at about 6.15pm, after staying at his partner's house, to find £800 missing and no sign of Shaun.

He said he received text messages from Shaun's mobile phone on Sunday morning saying he 'still had' the money and would be home that afternoon but added these could not have been from him as they were in 'perfect English' and Shaun cannot spell.

Shaun was believed to be wearing black tracksuit bottoms, black trainers and a Barnsley FC shirt when he went missing. He is described by family members as gullible and easily led.
